By Dustin Thornton
Windows offers a wide array of customizable features to make your desktop computer more personal. From custom colors to custom themes, Windows allows you to transform nearly any aspect of your computer desktop. The font in the Internet Explorer address bar is the same font used for the icons on your Windows desktop. To change the address bar font, you must change the font of the Windows desktop icons, using the options in the Display Properties menu.
Right-click an empty space on your computer desktop and select "Personalize."
Click on "Window Color and Appearance." The Display Properties dialog box will appear.
Click on the "Advanced" button. A new window will appear.
Click the "Item" drop-down menu and select "Icon."
Click the "Font" drop-down menu and select the font that you want to set for the Internet Explorer address bar.
Click the "Size" drop-down menu and select the font size for the Internet Explorer address bar. Click "OK."
Click "Apply" in the Display Properties dialog box. Wait while Windows changes the icon font and size.
