How to Change a Desktop Wallpaper Daily
By Jacqui Lane
If you're tired of seeing the same wallpaper on your desktop each day, you can use a feature introduced in Windows 7 to automatically update it on a daily basis. Desktop Slideshow allows you to rotate your desktop background at intervals ranging from every 10 seconds to once a day.
Right-click on your desktop and select "New," then "Folder." Give the folder a name, and drag the images that you want to use as your wallpaper into this folder.
Click "Start" and type "Desktop Background" into the search bar. Press "Enter" to open the desktop background personalization screen.
Click "Browse" and select the folder you created that contains the images you want to use as wallpaper. Select one of the five available picture positions from the drop-down menu; this controls how your images fit on the screen.
Click on the drop-down menu labeled "Change Picture Every:" and select "1 Day" as the interval. Select "Shuffle" if you want the images to be used in random order or leave it deselected to display the images in the order in which they appear.
Click "Save Changes." Your wallpaper will rotate daily using the photos you selected.
