How to Change a Default Photo Program
By Chad Buleen
By default, computers that run on the Microsoft Windows operating system automatically use the Windows Photo Gallery to open images that are downloaded onto the computer. Often digital cameras or printers have photo viewing programs that are designed to work well with them. If you have downloaded a photo viewing program to your computer and would rather use it to view your photos, you can change the default photo viewing program.
Click "Start" and select "Default Programs."
Click "Set Your Default Programs."
Click the photo program you want to use as the default program in the "Programs" list on the left side of the page.
Click "Set this program as default" in the right side of the window.
Select "OK." You have now changed a default photo program.
