How to Get a Cell Phone Listed in the White Pages
By Maya Walker
More often, people are using their cell phones instead of traditional home telephones. White page directory listings do not include cell phone numbers. If you need your number listed for personal or professional reasons, you have several options to get it included in a directory. Once you request the addition of your cell number to the directory, it can take up to one week for it to register with the directories.
Create a listing for your cell phone through List Yourself! by filling in the appropriate fields and clicking "Add Listing" (see Resources). Doing so will add your cell number to the listings used by national directory assistance companies.
Add your cell phone number to the white pages directory on SuperPages by filling in the appropriate fields and clicking "Add Listing" (see Resources). After submitting your listing, it can take up to five days before it is included in the directory.
Contact your local phone service provider and inquire about adding your number to its directory. The company may charge a fee or require you to purchase a forwarding number for inclusion in the directory.
