A Kindle newspaper subscription keeps you up to date on local or national news without having to buy an actual newspaper or go online to a news website. You can subscribe to a newspaper on your Kindle, and it is delivered as soon as it is published in digital format. Eventually, you may want to cancel your Kindle newspaper subscription. You can cancel the subscription through your Amazon.com account.

Step 1

Go to Amazon.com's website.

Step 2

Click "Your Account" in the upper-right corner of your window.

Step 3

Scroll down the page until you find "Digital Content."

Step 4

Click "Manage Your Kindle" under "Digital Management" in the "Digital Content" options.

Step 5

Sign in to your Amazon.com account with your email address and password, and then click "Sign in using our secure server." Your Kindle should already be registered to an Amazon.com account, but if it is not, click "No, I am a new customer" and go through the steps to create an account.

Step 6

Click "Your active Kindle subscriptions" from the "Shortcuts on this page" menu on the right side of your screen.

Step 7

Click "Cancel Subscription" next to the subscription you want to cancel.

Step 8

Click "Cancel subscription" when prompted in the pop-up window to confirm your choice. You will not receive any new issues, and you also won't be able to redownload back issues. If a balance remains on your subscription, Amazon.com issues a refund.
