Can My Swagbucks Be Logged Into Two Places at Once?
By Andrea Ruiz
Swagbucks is a Web portal which allows its users to complete tasks in exchange for points, which it calls Swagbucks, that you can exchange for merchandise, gift cards and even cash in the Swagstore. You can install software on your computer to help you earn more Swagbucks, and registering for a Swagbucks account is free. However, many users have more than one computer and may wonder if using the Swagbucks software for the same account on multiple computers violates the Swagbucks TOS.
Swagbucks Toolbar And Search Engine
The Swagbucks toolbar is an unobtrusive toolbar you can install to sit across the top of your Internet browser. Once you install it onto your computer, you must log in to your Swagbucks account via the toolbar's login link to get credit for any tasks or searches you perform when you use it. You can also replace your browser's default search engine with Swagbucks and earn extra reward points by using the search field in your Web browser each time you perform an Internet search.
You may install the Swagbucks toolbar and search engine on as many browsers and as many computers as you wish using the same account on each one. Swagbucks does not prohibit multiple computers using toolbars and search engines associated with the same account at once.
Swagbucks Website
You can log in to your account directly on the Swagbucks website using multiple computers. While on the Swagbucks website, any users logged in to your account can perform tasks to earn more reward points, such as participating in contests, playing games, watching ads and completing surveys. Swagbucks allows members of the same household to use the same account.
However, many tasks on the website only allow you to participate once per day. Once your account participates in a time-limited activity, such as the daily polls, you may not participate in the same task again using the same account until the following day.
Using Multiple Computers
Although Swagbucks permits you to log on to the same account on multiple computers and with multiple users, you should not work on the same task at the same time as another user on the Swagbucks website while you're both logged in to the same account. Swagbucks has a strict policy against cheating or gaming the system, and this includes a prohibition against getting too many hits on an individual task too quickly, or registering too many refresh-signals while watching Swagbucks TV.
Other Considerations
The Swagbucks terms of service strictly limit all users to one account. Individual users in a household may have their own accounts, but the terms of service also state that it monitors all accounts for abuse and cheating its system via IP-tracking, cookies, session-logging and other methods. Using multiple accounts from the same IP address may trigger the site's warning system and may result in Swagbucks suspending all of your accounts, and even banning you from the site, which may take many months to correct.
Because Swagbucks allows multiple users to use the same account, the best way to avoid tripping any warnings is for everyone in your household to use a single Swagbucks account on all their computers.
