Facebook enables people to interact with each other, post their thoughts on their Timelines and share them with select groups of people or with all Facebook users, and share multimedia content with their friends. You can share interesting YouTube videos with specific friends by including the videos in Facebook messages. The videos can be played directly from Facebook, if they have the embedding feature turned on. If the embedding feature is turned off, the recipient must navigate to YouTube to view the video.

Step 1

Navigate to the YouTube video that you want to share, select the video URL in the Address bar and press "Ctrl+C" to copy the URL to the clipboard.

Step 2

Navigate to Facebook, log in to your Facebook account, click "Messages" and then click the "New Message" button to start composing.

Step 3

Type the name of the recipient in the "To" field and select the correct recipient from the list of suggestions.

Step 4

Click inside the "Write a message" box and press "Ctrl+V" to paste the URL from the clipboard into the box. The description of the video is automatically inserted in the message, along with a thumbnail of the video.

Step 5

Click the "Send" button to send the YouTube video as a message.
