How to Calibrate the Screen on a LG Optimus

The LG Optimus smartphone runs the Android operating system. One feature of the LG Optimus is the convenient touchscreen keyboard. Occasionally, the touchscreen needs calibrated so that the touchscreen keyboard, as well as application icons, operate as expected. The screen calibration application is a feature in the Sound and Display Settings. You can quickly calibrate the touchscreen of the LG Optimus using the default calibration application.
Step 1
Tap the “Menu” icon to show all applications and options.
Step 2
Tap the “Settings” icon and then tap the “Sound and Display” listing in the Settings page.
Step 3
Tap the “Touch Calibration” option in the Touch Settings section. The calibration screen opens.
Step 4
Tap the “Calibration Target" carefully with a pencil or object with a sharp point. The Calibration Target will move to a new location on the screen each time the target is tapped.
Step 5
Tap the “Calibration Target” in each location on the screen. Continue this process until calibration is complete. The Select Next Step dialog box opens.
Step 6
Tap the radio button next to the “Check Calibration” option and then tap the “OK” button.
Step 7
Tap the “Calibration Target” in the upper center of the screen with a pencil or other sharp object. The Calibration Target once again moves around the screen.
Step 8
Tap the “Calibration Target” in each location on the screen. Continue this process until calibration is complete. The “Save” dialog box opens.
Step 9
Tap the “OK” option to save the calibration settings.
