Your cellular telephone number shows up on caller ID when you make outgoing phone calls from the phone. Many people do not want their cell-phone number to show up when they make a call. You can block your number from showing up to secure your privacy, if you don't want the receiving party to have your number. Blocking your number will give you the peace of mind that you want when making your outgoing calls.

Call your cellular phone service provider and tell the customer service representative that you want your cell-phone number to be blocked. Your service provider will block your outgoing calls so nobody will get your number.

Press the "*" button, and then press "67" on your phone. Dial the number that you want to call, and then press the "Send" button. When the call goes through, your number will be blocked for that one call.

Test the block by calling your home phone or calling a different number to see if your phone number is blocked.
