How to Block a Phone Number on Cox Communications (5 Steps)
By Matt McGew
Cox Digital Phone service features several free calling features, including selective call rejection which allows you to program up to 31 phone numbers into the call block system. Callers having blocked numbers will hear a recorded message that informs them you are not currently accepting calls. You can add a specific phone number you want to block at any time directly from any telephone connected to your Cox Digital Phone service.
Step 1
Lift your Cox Digital Phone handset and dial "*60" using the phone's keypad.
Step 2
Listen to the recorded message. If your selective call rejection is currently off, press the "3" key on your phone to turn the feature on.
Step 3
Press the "#" key on your phone to add a new number to the blocked number list.
Step 4
Enter the full 10-digit phone number that you want to block, including the area code.
Step 5
Hang up to save the blocked number. You will no longer receive calls from the blocked number on your Cox Digital Phone service.
