How to Block Data on T-Mobile

By blocking the data on your T-Mobile wireless phone, you can help to avoid overages that may occur as a result of using data-dependent applications. You can block data on your phone at any time by adjusting your phone's settings. You do not need to contact customer service to perform the action. The Internet and applications that use data are inaccessible while data is blocked. Depending on the model of your T-Mobile phone, the steps may vary slightly.
Step 1
Press "Menu" from the home screen of your T-Mobile phone.
Step 2
Tap "Settings," then tap "Wireless and Networks."
Step 3
Un-check the "Mobile Network" box to block the data on the phone.
Step 4
Press "Home" to exit to the phone's home screen.
