Comcast digital phone service offers subscribers many features, including the ability to block their number from detection from caller identification. Call blocker service replaces the number displayed on caller ID and marks your outgoing calls as either private or anonymous. You can block caller ID per call or for all calls from your phone line. Caller ID blocking per call is a free feature with your Comcast digital phone service and must be activated each time you place a call. Caller ID block per line blocks the caller ID from a phone number for all calls and can be cancelled at any time.

Step 1

Dial "*67" from your phone.

Step 2

Dial the number you would like to call after you hear the second dial tone.

Listen for the ringing to ensure your call is connected. Your Comcast phone number will be blocked for the current call.

  • You can not complete an anonymous call if the person you are trying to contact has anonymous call rejection set up on their phone line.

  • Caller ID per line must be set up through Comcast customer service at 1-800-COMCAST.
