How to Apply for an AT&T Fan Account

There are many businesses, organizations and educational institutions that have a partnership agreement with AT&T called the foundation account number program, or FAN. Through this account the employees and students of the partners receive discounts on their monthly AT&T service. Discounts can range from 7 to 30 percent, depending on the partnership agreement. If you are an AT&T customer you may receive these discounts through a FAN account. Qualifying for these discounts requires that you complete a validation process.

Step 1

Download the "AT&T Certification" form the AT&T website (wireless.att.com). The form is used when validating your employment or student status. The validation process determines which discounts you qualify for, based on your organization's agreement with AT&T.

Step 2

Fill out the form. Make sure you include your wireless telephone number and a copy of your employment or student photo ID. Attach a copy of your current pay stub if you do not have an ID badge. Sign and date the form.

Step 3

Fax AT&T the form along with copies of your ID badge or pay stub. The fax number is 800-940-6805. Once your documentation is processed an AT&T representative will call the telephone number you listed on the form verifying that the number is valid.
