How to Add Slideshow in Blogger
By Brandy Alexander
Blogger gives you the ability to publish photos on your blog using a slideshow, which automatically rotates pictures on your page. These animated images are an entertaining feature for your visitors, and they give you the opportunity to create eye-catching displays out of your media. As long as you have your photos hosted on a photo management service, such as Flickr or Photobucket, you can build a slideshow using Blogger's slideshow gadget.
Log in to your photo management account, then click the "Share" option next to the desired photo album. Copy the URL that displays. If you have trouble locating the share feature on your particular host, view the Help or FAQ page.
Log in to your Blogger account, then click the name of the site you are modifying.
Click the "Layout" link, then click the "Add a Gadget" link to bring up the Add a Gadget dialog window. Click the "Basics" link, then click the plus sign next to the Slideshow title.
Click the "Other" option next to the Source title, then paste your link in the "Feed URL" text field. A preview of your slideshow appears at the bottom of the dialog window.
Use the remaining menus to set features such as the speed of your slideshow and order of the images. Click the "Save" button.
- You can drag your slideshow to another area on your blog. Navigate to the Layout page, then click the slideshow gadget and drop it where you want.
