How to Add a Printer Icon to Google Chrome
By Chelle Handley
Google Chrome is a sleekly designed Web browser with a minimal number of buttons and tools. The minimalist design enables Chrome to load faster than other browsers, and buttons normally found on other browsers have been replaced with keyboard commands. However, for those who want the convenience of an onscreen print button, Google's open source code makes it easy to add it back onto the browser.
Step 1
Open Chrome. Click the wrench icon located on the right side of the window next to the search bar.
Step 2
Place the cursor over "Tools," then click "Always show bookmarks bar."
Step 3
Right-click the gray bookmark bar located below the search bar. Click "Add page."
Step 4
Click "Bookmarks bar." Type "Print" in the blank next to "Name."
Step 5
Type "javascript:window.print()" in the blank next to "URL." Click "OK." A print icon resembling a blank page appears on the bookmark toolbar. Click the icon to print.
