How to Add Minutes to a T-Mobile Phone

by Michaele Curtis

T-Mobile USA offers a prepaid phone plan to users who don’t qualify for a postpaid plan or who would prefer to pay for their service in advance. The way it works is that your account has a certain amount of money, which gives you a certain amount of talking minutes. As you use the phone, minutes are deducted from your account. When you are out of minutes, your phone won’t make or take any calls. To add more minutes to your account, you have to make a payment to T-Mobile.

Online

1

Sign into the T-Mobile refill page in your computer’s browser. (See Resources)

2

Select the refill amount.

3

Enter your payment information. Click “OK” to complete the transaction.

Over the phone

1

Dial *233 on your T-Mobile prepaid mobile phone.

2

Select the refill amount.

3

Enter your payment information. Press the number 1 key to confirm the transaction when prompted.
