How to Add HTML to a Personal Facebook Profile
By Brandy Alexander
Facebook does not allow you to add HyperText Markup Language (HTML) to your personal profile, but you do have the option to install a Facebook application that gives you the ability to add the HTML code you want. With an app, you can enter your code, then have it display in a tab on your page or another area.
Log in to your Facebook account and enter "HTML" in the search box at the top of the page.
Scroll to the bottom of the drop-down list that displays, then click the "See more results for HTML" option. Click the "Apps" item on the left to view only HTML application offerings in the list.
Read through the description of each application until you find the one that fills your need. Click the "View App" button to the right of the desired title, then click the links on the left, such as "Info," to find out more about the application. Click the "Go to App" to install it on your profile.
Click the "Allow" button that appears to grant the application access to your basic information, then follow the prompts to finish the installation. Each application works differently, depending on the one you install. Enter your HTML code in the provided box and click "Submit" to publish it on your profile.
