How to Add a Facebook Account to an iPad Calendar

With the release of iOS 6, Apple tightly integrated the iPad and Facebook. One of the many changes in the operating system was the ability to have Facebook events and birthdays automatically flow to the iPad's built-in calendar. Even if your iPad isn't already connected to Facebook, turning on automatic calendar updates is a simple process, requiring just a few steps. All that you need is your iPad and your Facebook account login information.

Open your iPad's Settings app by touching its icon.

Touch "Facebook" in the Settings app. You may need to scroll to find it.

Enter your Facebook username and password and touch "Sign In." If your iPad is already logged in to your Facebook account, skip this step.

Touch the "Settings" button in the Facebook Settings app.

Slide the switch next to Calendar to the "On" position. Touch the "Update All Contacts" button to download the data.

Press your iPad's "Home" button to exit the Settings app.
