How to Add a Burning Candle Animation to Your PowerPoint
By Filonia LeChat
Microsoft PowerPoint comes standard with a variety of add-ins to help break up the text on your slideshow, such as a clip art gallery and a collection of animations and transitions. Animations and transitions are effects that, when added to text boxes or the slides themselves, make words bounce around, fizzle or blink, and show slides windshield-wipering and twirling. Animations in PowerPoint may not include your favorite items, but bringing in your own designs is as simple as a few clicks and may really help you hold a candle to your presentation.
Open PowerPoint. If adding a burning candle animation to an existing PowerPoint, click the "File" tab, click "Open," browse to the presentation, double-click its name and scroll to the slide to receive the animation.
Click the "Insert" tab. Click the "Picture" button. Browse to the location of the animated candle graphic. To help narrow the search, pull down the "All Pictures" menu and select "Graphics Interchange Format," as only GIFs may be animated files.
Double-click the animated candle image and it is added to the slide.
