How to Access an EverFocus DVR From an iPhone
By Ben David
EverFocus produces a line of DVRs that serve a number of different home and business uses. As a result, there are a number of different reasons why you may want to access your EverFocus DVR remotely. One way to remotely access it is through the use of a free iPhone application called MobileFocus by EverFocus. The process of using this application to access your EverFocus DVR is a fairly simple one, as long as you have your EverFocus connected to the Internet through a wired or wireless network.
Turn on your EverFocus DVR. Note: This DVR must also be connected to Internet so that the iPhone application can access it.
Tap the "App Store" icon on your iPhone to open the application.
Enter "MobileFocus" into the search field in the App Store's "Search" screen.
Tap the "Free" button next the "MobileFocus" icon twice to download and install the application.
Tap on the MobileFocus icon to open the application.
Tap the "+" button in the upper-right corner of the DVR screen on the iPhone. This will open the information screen where you can enter the information for your EverFocus DVR (model number and DVR address, which will look something like [email protected]). You can find your DVR's address in the display screen by going to "Device Settings" on the setup screen.
Tap your DVR name in the DVR listing of the iPhone application to access the EverFocus DVR.
