The Nurit 2085 terminal processes credit card purchases for businesses. From time to time, you may experience errors or other problems with your terminal. Common problems include occasional power outage issues, a Nurit terminal that displays “No Line” and won’t process card transactions, and issues with the Nurit’s printer. Following a few simple steps and performing your own basic maintenance will keep your terminal operating smoothly and save you time, money and frustration.

Power Problems

Confirm that the power cord is plugged securely into the back of the Nurit 2085 as a first practical step towards troubleshooting a power outage problem.

Unplug the power cord from the Nurit to reset the connection. Wait one minute and then plug the power cord back into the unit.

Inspect the cord at the wall outlet for and check for damage such as tears, cuts or frays. If the cord is damaged, replace it.

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and inspect the metal receptors on the end of the plug for grime or dirt. If the receptors are dirty, clean with a dry cloth.

Plug some other device into the wall outlet to confirm that it is a working outlet. Reconnect the power cord from the Nurit 2085 securely into the wall outlet and try again.

"No Line" Error

Inspect the telephone line connection on the Nurit terminal if a “No Line” error message appears on the display.

Turn the terminal around so that you are viewing the back of the unit. Examine the telephone line cord connecting the terminal to the wall jack for damage. If the cord is damaged, replace it.

Confirm that the telephone line is securely connected to the “Tel Line” socket of the terminal.

Unplug the telephone line from the Nurit terminal and then plug the cord back in to ensure that it is seated securely.

Printer Trouble

Inspect the printer’s paper feed track, if you are having printer problems.

Open the printer roll chamber and confirm that the roll of printer paper is inserted so that the paper feeds from the bottom, as opposed to coming over the top of the roll.

Replace the paper roll, if the spool is empty.

Verify that you are using the right type of paper. The Nurit 2085 uses thermal paper and cannot print a receipt unless the paper on the roll is thermal.
