In this technological age, we have the convenience of text messaging, cell phones and voice mail to name a few technological advances. Sending a fax via email is the ideal situation for the traveling businessperson, student or average individual who doesn't own a fax.
Locate an Internet fax service. Some are free and some charge a nominal fee. Find a quality fax service with the features you need to send your fax. In the Resource section are a few recommendations.
Go to your aol.com email account. Create a new outgoing email message. In the "To:" field enter the [email protected] (or whoever is your preferred fax provider) where "fax number" is the fax number of your destination. Be sure to include the country code (if necessary) and the full telephone number. The country code varies for each country.
Attach the file(s) you would like to send in your email. The typical files that are attached for faxes are PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Be sure to check with your fax service to ensure what type of documents are available for Internet faxing.
Send the message. Your fax will arrive at its destination.
