How to Thread an Office Depot Pricing Gun

by Laurie Rappeport ; Updated September 26, 2017

Office Depot sells the Monarch 1136 pricing gun. It prints up to 16 characters on two lines and is easy to use. Each of the four configurations of the Monarch 1136 provides a different type option, but they all use the same labels and load the same way.

Open the cover door of the pricing gun. Wait until it clicks. Don't force it open beyond the click.

Insert the Monarch 1136 label roll between the holders.

Tear off the first 10 inches of labels.

Lay the strip of labels across the peeler and make sure that the strip is centered over the peel bar. Let a 5- to 6-inch-long section of the strip hang down. Don't thread the strip of labels between the rollers.

Close the cover and turn the pricing gun upside down.

Feed the label strip through the roller and then under the second roller.

Holding the strip in place, squeeze the trigger eight times.

Hold the label strip as it comes through the rear exit.

Remove any stray labels.
