Adding Fonts to CorelDraw
By Tricia Goss
Using CorelDraw, you can combine text and images to create brochures, postcards and other documents for marketing, employee training and more. One way to customize your designs is by downloading new fonts. Any font you install on your computer is available for use in CorelDraw. Learning how to install fonts in Windows will enable you to generate made-to-order creations. You can install fonts on Windows directly from the font file or from the Control Panel.
Log in to the computer with a username and password that has administrator rights.
Double-click the font file to open the font preview window.
Click the "Install" button at the top of the preview window. Alternatively, right-click the unopened font file and select "Install."
Click the "Start" button in Windows 7 and select "Control Panel," then choose "Appearance and Personalization" and select "Fonts." In Windows 8, type "Fonts" on the Start screen and select "Fonts" in the list of results. The Fonts window opens.
Return to the desktop or other location to which you downloaded the font file you want to install. Click on the font file, drag it to the Fonts window and drop it.
Wait until Windows installs the font and then close the Fonts window.
You may need to restart CorelDraw for any newly installed fonts to appear.
