How to Unsync Your Facebook From Twitter

Facebook and Twitter are powerful marketing tools for businesses. Linked together, the things you post on Twitter automatically post on your Facebook Page. Using each separately lets you cater more to that website's specific users or features. Aside from sending your Twitter posts to Facebook, you can also send Facebook updates to Twitter. While they may be too long, the app provides a link for your followers to view the entire post.

Stop Twitter From Posting to Facebook

Go to "Facebook.com" and log in. In the top navigation bar, click the down facing arrow on the right side of the page, next to "Home." Select "Account Settings" from the drop-down menu.

Click "Apps" in the window's left navigation pane. Locate "Twitter" in your list of authorized apps and click the small "X" to the right of the app, next to "Edit."

Select "Remove" in the confirmation window. Click "Home" in the top-right corner to return to your Facebook homepage.

Stop Facebook From Posting to Twitter

Log in to your Twitter account. In the top navigation bar, click the down-facing arrow next to the silhouette of a person, then choose "Settings" from the resulting menu.

Select "Apps" in the left navigation pane. Scroll down to the "Facebook" app, which has Facebook's logo next to it.

Click "Revoke Access" to prevent Facebook updates from posting to Twitter. Click "Home" in the top left corner to return to your Twitter homepage.
