In "Donkey Kong Country Returns" for the Nintendo Wii, Donkey and Diddy Kong must protect their island from the invading Tiki Tak Tribe. One of the gorilla's strongest moves is the earth-shaking ground pound. The ground pound can stun nearby enemies, making them easier to avoid or defeat. This move also enables you to activate pressure plates and break through the floor to find secret treasure rooms.
Load any level and stand near an enemy that you want to stun. Alternatively, stand on top of a cracked surface or pressure plate.
Make Donkey Kong stand still. You can't perform the ground pound while moving.
Shake the Wii Remote and Nunchuk up and down to perform the ground pound. If you're playing without the Nunchuk, just shake the Wii Remote.
Diddy Kong can't do the ground pound move. While playing as Diddy Kong, shake the Wii remote to fire the Peanut Popgun.
If you shake the Wii Remote and Nunchuk while running, Donkey Kong will do a barrel roll. Use this move to knock out several enemies in a row.
