The "Poor Soul" is a four-hit combination move by the character Shujinko in the PSP game, "Mortal Kombat: Unchained." To perform it you must first switch to the correct character stance, and then press the required buttons. This powerful move will deplete 21 percent of your opponent's health bar if your opponent does not block it successfully. The practice mode in the game displays all your button presses on the screen, making it the best mode to practice performing the Poor Soul correctly.
Launch "Mortal Kombat: Unchained" on your PSP, and then select the "Kombat" option from the menu screen.
Select "Practice" and then select "Shujinko" from the character select screen. Select any opponent and wait for the match to begin.
Press the left shoulder button to switch to the "Shaolin Fist" fighting stance.
Move to within punching distance of your opponent using the d-pad or analog stick.
Press "Square," "Triangle," "Circle" and then the left shoulder button in rapid succession to perform the Poor Soul move. Observe the button presses displayed on the left side of the screen to ensure that you are pressing the correct combination of buttons.
The final attack in the move switches your fighting style to "Dan Tien Dao," so if you want to perform the Poor Soul move again, you must first switch back to "Shaolin Fist" using the left shoulder button.
