The Nintendo DSi allows you to take games with you wherever you go -- both Nintendo DS games and any games you have an emulator and ROM file for. Emulators are programs that mimic video game consoles -- for instance, a Super Nintendo emulator mimics the Super Nintendo console. It is legal to have a ROM file, provided that you also own a copy of the original game. You're not legally allowed to use a ROM if you don't own the game.

Insert your SD card into the available SD slot on your Nintendo DSi.

Turn on your Nintendo DSi.

Open the "Systems" folder by selecting it from your list of folders.

Tap "Devices." This will show you any applications that exist on your SD card.

Select "SNESmulDS." Press "X" to run the application.

Select the game you want to play from the list of available roms, then press "X."
