Viva Pinata for the Xbox 360 saves your game under your gamertag profile, but the PC version of the game must create a separate profile. The game prompts you to press the "HOME" key to create a profile, but on some computers the process fails and you cannot save your game. To create a profile, you must delete certain system files and reboot your computer.
Click the "Start" button on the Windows task bar and select All Programs.
Click Accessories and right-click Command Prompt.
Select Run as Administrator. A command prompt screen will launch. Type "net stop cryptsvc" (without quotes) and press "Enter."
Click the "Start" button and select the search bar. Enter "%systemroot%/inf" (without quotes) and click the inf folder.
Type "oem_._" (without quotes) in the search bar at the top right corner of the screen.
Click Organize and choose Select All. Press the "Delete" key and close the window.
Switch back to the command prompt window, type "net start cryptsvc" (without quotes) and then press "Enter."
Close the window and restart the computer.
Open Viva Pinata and press the "HOME" button to create your profile.
You can download an executable file that will fix the issue automatically at monstrmoose.com/download.php?f=H2VWin7Fix.exe. Once you have downloaded the file, right-click it and select Run as Administrator.
