In the computer game “Sims 3,” players who want to imitate real-life situations, including teenage pregnancy, can do so with the help of a cheat. Although the option to make your Sim a statistic is not included with the game, you can use a mod to achieve your goal of impregnating your teenaged Sim.

Pregnancy in “Sims 3”

In “Sims 3,” pregnancy is highly regarded. Pregnant Sims who were on the verge of becoming an elder do not age during the pregnancy. A pregnant Sim does not die. Even if you use a cheat that would normally knock off your Sim, she will not die. During the pregnancy, the Sim stays home until it is time to give birth. When the baby's due date arrives and the Sim mother goes into labor, she will drop everything and hurry to the hospital.

Pregnant Teens

Normally, pregnant teens are not allowed in “The Sims” games. Teenagers are not allowed to “WooHoo” or “Try for Baby,” which leads to pregnancy. At most, a teen can kiss and hug her steady boyfriend. Teens are encouraged to have a relationship through aspirations and wants, but teenage relationships end at going steady. After a teenager becomes a young adult, she can become engaged to and marry her steady boyfriend.

Mod the Sims

If you are set on your teenaged Sim having a baby, you can use a cheat to impregnate the girl. A mod is needed for a teen to have a baby. Mods allow you to alter the settings of the game and perform actions you normally could not do. A pregnancy mod is available to download and install on your Windows-based computer that will allow you to tinker with the “Sims 3” pregnancy settings.

Using the Mod

Save the mod file to your computer's desktop. After the download completes, move the file into the "Sims 3" folder on your computer. The folder's path is "C/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3." Create a new folder in the game's folder and title it "Mods." Open the newly created folder and create a new folder titled "Packages." Extract the mod files into the "Packages" folder. Start the “Sims 3” game and open your Sim household. The teenager should now have the option to “Try for Baby.”
