“Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood” is an action adventure game in the “Assassin's Creed” series. Like “Assassin's Creed II,” this game is set in 15th century Italy. It continues the plot centering around Desmond Miles and Ezio Auditore da Firenze. The fifth quest in the second sequence of this game, the Halls of Nero, requires you to enter and explore a series of ancient ruins under the city of Rome.
Enter the Halls of Nero by pulling the four levers located in the corners of the beginning room. You'll need to jump across pillars without falling to reach these levers. The pool will fill with water and the floor will break. Jump into the hole. Exit the water and choose the opening with the white statue. Turn right, then turn right again to enter an area with another statue.
Climb up the statue, then leap to the left wall. Head right using the ledges and rings, then jump across the hall to the ledge as you pass through the next doorway. Keep going right, then pull yourself up onto the plank and jump to the hanging chandelier. Use the momentum of your jump to leap over the gate on your left and onto the pathway. Walk along the path until you reach another statue. Climb this statue. From the top of the statue, face the gate and jump onto a beam, then to the plank on the left wall. Leap from one chandelier to the next to go over the next gate, then head upstairs and pull the lever located just right of the door.
This area of the ruins features a floor full of burning coals and flames. Start by climbing the broken pillar to your right, then jumping to the statue in the center of the room. Move from there across to the pillar on the other side, then climb all the way to the top and across the wall. Once you reach the last handhold, jump back toward the next statue. This one is broken and also located in the middle of the room. Jump from this statue to the ground, then climb to the top of the next statue. Move to the left wall and continue hand-over-hand. Leap the gap, then drop to the ground and jump from one piece of rubble to the next to go over the gate.
Watch the cutscene through the closed gate, then turn around and climb the arch to go over the next gate. Turn right and climb to the top of the statue. Leap across to the ledge on the wall, then go hand-over-hand left to the end of that wall. Jump over the gap to the ledge on the right wall and continue hand-over-hand. After the all crumbles, jump to the broken arch in the middle of the room and climb the pillar. Leap from the top of the pillar to a metal bar. Swing from one bar to the next, then drop down to the floor. Climb left across a series of pillars and beams in the main room to reach the upper balcony. Enter the little room to find an altar with a treasure chest containing a scroll. Exit the ruins using via the trapdoor.
