Items you will need
2.5mm male to 3.5mm female audio adapter
RCA female to 3.5mm female adapter
You can use your Dre Beats headphones for listening to the audio from your Xbox by connecting the headphones to the TV or console. Since the Xbox uses a standard 2.5mm audio connection for Xbox Live, you can also use the Dre Beats headset to communicate with your teammates while playing. The Dre Beats headphones use a 3.5mm connector, which means you will need to use an adapter if you plan on using them for Xbox Live. If you are using it for audio only, you may need an RCA to 3.5mm adapter if your TV does not have a headphone jack.
Using the Dre Beats Headphones for Xbox Live
Obtain a 3.5mm to 2.5mm audio adapter. You can purchase the adapter online, or at local stores that sell audio or electronics equipment.
Plug the 3.5mm connector on the Dre Beats headphones into the 3.5mm jack on the adapter.
Plug the 2.5mm connector on the adapter into the 2.5mm audio connection on the Xbox controller.
Using the Dre Beats Headphones for Audio Only
Check the manual for your television to see if it has a headphone jack. The jack is usually located on the front or side panel, but smaller TVs may also have it on the back. Plug the Dre Beats headphones directly into the headset jack. If your TV does not have a headphone jack, use an RCA female to 3.5mm female adapter.
Plug the red and white audio cables leading from the Xbox into the red and white ports on the adapter.
Plug the Dre Beats headphones into the 3.5mm female jack on the adapter.
