The iPhone Clock application is a factory-installed option and it offers several useful features, including a stopwatch, countdown timer and alarm. Apple designed this app to allow multiple alarms to be set as needed. You can learn how to set the alarm, which includes changing the frequency of the alarm, the sound it makes and the time the alarm goes off. Before you can use the alarm, however, you must make sure it is turned on in the Clock application.
Tap the "Clock" icon and then touch "Alarm" at the bottom of the screen.
Touch the "+" icon at the top right corner of the screen. The "Add Alarm" screen appears.
Tap "Repeat." Tap each of the days you want to use the alarm and then tap "Back." A check mark appears on the days you select.
Touch "Sound." Tap the sound you want to use for the alarm and then tap "Back."
Tap the "On" button next to "Snooze" to turn off this function. Snooze is set to "On" by default.
Touch "Label," type a name for the alarm and then touch "Back."
Slide the "Hours" dial until the correct hour is chosen. Repeat the process with the "Minutes" and "AM/PM" dials.
Tap "Save" to save the alarm; it is set to "On" by default.
Press the "Off" button next to your alarm name to turn the alarm on, if you previously turned it off and wish to reuse the alarm.
Press the "+" or "-" volume buttons on the left side of the iPhone to adjust the ringer volume. The alarm volume is the same as the ringer volume.
The "Silent" switch on the left side of the phone has no effect on the alarm. The alarm makes an audible sound even with the Silent switch activated.
