Your Apple ID is the user name for your Apple account. The Apple ID lets you save your shopping cart, register Apple products, make changes to orders through the Apple Store and make 1-Click purchases that are automatically processed with the credit or debit card associated with the account. If you no longer want to have a debit card as part of your account, you can remove the card, and future purchases will require you enter credit or debit card information manually.

Open a browser window and go to Click “Account,” then “Account Information.”

Type your Apple ID and password. Click “Sign In.”

Type your password in the “Retype Your Password” text box. Scroll to “Method of Payment.” Highlight and delete the number in the “Card Number” text box. Click “Continue.”

If you have 1-Click turned on, you must first turn off 1-Click before you delete your debit card. Click “Account,” then “1-Click Settings.” Click “Turn 1-Click Off.”
