"GMod" is a sandbox creativity game that uses the physics engine from "Half Life 2." Players are allowed to create any contraption, vehicle or scenario that they desire, using "Half Life 2" objects and the in-game creation menu. Players may also customize their "GMod" by replacing sound files and installing new add-ons for the game. To replace sound files in "GMod," you must go into the installation directory of the game and replace existing sound files with new ones.
Open your "GMod" installation directory, found on your main hard drive in the file path "Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/garrysmod."
Open the "sounds" folder in your "GMod" directory. Copy the existing sound files out of the "sounds" folder to a convenient location on your computer.
Place the new sound files into the "sounds" folder in your "GMod" directory.
Close the file and load "GMod."
