The iRig Recorder app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch is designed to be a high-quality portable recorder in your pocket. You can record using your device’s built-in microphone or the external iRig adapter combined with an external microphone. Once you have finished recording, you can edit and add effects, then export the recorded file using a number of different methods, depending on your needs. The export menu provides the necessary prompts to help you with the process.

Email Method

Tap “Recordings” at the bottom of the screen and tap the recording you would like to export to highlight it.

Tap “Export” at the bottom of the screen.

Tap “E-mail.” An email message will be created with the recording included as an attachment.

Tap the “To:” field at the top of the window and type an email address to send the file to. You may wish to type your own address to send the file to yourself. Edit the email message if you wish, then click “Send.”

iTunes File-Sharing Method

Tap “Recordings” at the bottom of the screen and tap the recording you would like to export to highlight it.

Tap “Export” at the bottom of the screen.

Tap “iTunes File Sharing” and tap to choose a quality level. The higher the quality, the larger the file will be.

Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes. iTunes will show a prompt that you have voice memos, and ask if you would like to import them. Click “Yes.”

Wi-Fi Method

Tap “Recordings” at the bottom of the screen and tap the recording you would like to export to highlight it.

Tap “Export” at the bottom of the screen.

Tap “Wi-Fi” and tap to choose a quality level. The higher the quality, the larger the file will be. The app will display a message such as “Please connect to 192.xxx.x.x:5555 to download your recordings.”

Connect a computer to the same Wi-Fi network as the device, open a web browser and type the address from the message into the browser.

Click the “Download” link and choose a file name and location to save the file, then click “Save.”
