While a keyboard and mouse are the most efficient controllers for first person shooters, game pads and joysticks offer better control and quicker response for fighting games. And because MUGEN is a PC game, you may be tempted to stick with the game default keyboard and mouse setup. But all it takes is a brief trip to MUGEN's configurations to enable a joystick for your matches and dominate your competition.
Connect your joystick or game pad to a USB port on your computer and then launch MUGEN.
Press the "F1" key on your keyboard, after you reach MUGEN's home screen, to access the Input Config menu. Alternatively, you can assess the Input Config menu from the "Options" heading on the home screen.
Highlight the "Joystick Config" type for Player 1 or Player 2. Press the right or left arrow button on your keyboard to toggle the joystick to "Auto."
Press the "F2" key on your keyboard to change your joystick's key bindings or press "Esc" to return to MUGEN's main menu.
