The Nintendo Wii is a gaming console that has Universal Plug And Play compatibility. This particular feature allows the Nintendo Wii to stream media from a network hard drive or a computer on the same Internet network. If you would like to use the UPnP on your Wii, you need to connect the Wii to the same network the server is on. This process can be carried out with little hassle. Finally, keep in mind that you don’t have to be a gaming enthusiast to use the UPnP on your Wii.
Use your Wii controller to click on the “Wii” icon. This is found at the bottom of the home screen.
Click on the “Connection 1” icon. This particular icon is found in the “Add Connection” icon contained on the menu.
Click the “OK” button on the “Choose the access point you want to connect to” page.
Click on the wireless network that your UPnP server is connected to. Your specific wireless network is found in a list of available wireless networks.
Click the “Yes” button to update your Wii. Wait for the “Finished” page to appear.
