In "World of Warcraft," characters can use the Dark Portal in the Blasted Lands to travel to Outlands. Although the Stormwind Blasted Lands Portal is restricted to level 58 and above, players in full bind-on-account gear or new death knights who wish to start exploring Outlands at a slighty lower level can use other travel methods.

Use the Dark Portal from the Blasted Lands to get from Stormwind to Outlands. If you are level 58 or above, the Blasted Lands portal in the Mage District of Stormwind transports you close to the Dark Portal.

Use a flying mount to fly from Stormwind to the Dark Portal. If you do not have a flying mount, you can be flown there as a passenger on a passenger flying mount. Players under level 58 can ride ground mounts through Deadwind Pass to the Swamp of Sorrow and then across the Blasted Lands to the Dark Portal. As of Cataclysm, players below level 58 can use the Dark Portal.

Ask a mage to port you to Shattrath.

Ask a warlock and two other players to summon you to Outlands.

Ask two players of any class to use a summoning stone near one of the dungeons in Outlands to summon you

Tips

A portal near the Stair of Destiny will return you from Outlands to Stormwind.
