"Minecraft" features time cycles that include both daytime and nighttime. During the night, aggressive monsters appear. These monsters include spiders and zombies. The monsters may destroy your progress, including your buildings. If you do not want zombies to invade at night, you may change the difficulty setting to disable monster invasions. By changing it, you will prevent your buildings from being destroyed.

Open your "Minecraft" game. Select either "Singleplayer" or "Multiplayer" mode, choose your world and wait for the game to load.

Press the "ESC" key.

Click the "Options" button.

Click on "Difficulty" until it reads "Peaceful." Setting the difficulty to "Peaceful" disables all monsters, including zombies.
