How to Talk in GMOD

by Seth AmeryUpdated September 22, 2017

"Garry's Mod" is a computer game released through the Steam content delivery service in November 2006. In this game, the primary purpose is to entertain yourself with the in-game tools and objects, and you can do this alone or with friends. If you are playing on a multiplayer server, you may want to talk to the other people also on the server. You can access the talk function through a single keyboard command.

Press the "Y" key if you want to talk to everybody on the server, regardless of the team. Depending on the kind of server you are on and who is hosting, players may be divided onto teams for games. Press "U" if you want to chat only with people on your team.

Type the message you wish to say. You cannot move or perform any actions while the chat window is open.

Press "Enter" to send your message.
