The Xbox game unit connects to the Emerson EWF2004 model TV set via the TV’s audio/Video (AV) input jacks. In order to view a signal coming from a device hooked up to the TV’s AV input jacks, the TV’s video input channel has to be set to the proper source. The easiest way to set the TV’s video input channel is to use the “Input Select” button on the TV’s remote control. However, if you are missing the remote for your Emerson EWF2004 TV, you can set the TV’s video input channel using the buttons on the TV’s front panel.
Plug the fat plug end of the composite AV cable, which came with your Xbox game unit, into the AV jack on the back of the unit.
Insert the yellow composite video plug on the other end of the AV cable into the “Video” jack on the front panel of the TV. Insert the white audio plug into the “Audio L” jack on the front panel of the TV. Insert the red audio plug into the “Audio R” jack on the front panel of the TV.
Plug the smaller end of the Xbox power supply cable into the power port on the back of the unit. Plug the other end of the cable into an electrical outlet.
Turn on the TV and Xbox.
Press “Menu” on the front panel of the TV. “Picture” should already be highlighted in the menu. Press the TV’s "Volume Up" or "Down" button to select the highlighted item.
Use the TV’s "Channel Up" and "Down" buttons to highlight “Game Mode.” Press the "Volume Up" or "Down" button to select the highlighted item.
Highlight and select “On” to activate Game Mode on the TV. You should see the Xbox screen on your TV.
