How to Get to Dalaran on "WoW"

Dalaran was the main hub for "Wrath of the Lich King "(WotLK) expansion of "World of Warcraft" (WoW). "Cataclysm" has now struck Azeroth and the portals in and out of Dalaran are no longer existent. Characters still need to go through the WotLK quests once they hit Level 68 or higher, and Level 80 and over characters may still return to Dalaran for achievements and training. Your easiest path to Dalaran depends on the level of your character.

Under Level 83

Travel to the northern dock in Stormwind or the dock in Menethil Harbor if Alliance. If Horde, go to the zeppelin tower in Ogrimmar or the Undercity. The boat in Stormwind and the Ogrimmar zeppelin takes you to Borean Tundra. The Menethil Harbor boat and Undercity zeppelin takes you to Howlling Fjord. The exact routes are; Stormwind to Valiance Keep, Menethil Harbor to Valgarde, Ogrimmar to Warsong Hold and Undercity to Vengeance Landing.

Look at the map of Nothrend and locate Crystalsong Forest. Dalaran is located in the northwest area of the map.

Get on the closest flight path to Dalaran once you arrive.

Level 83 or Higher

Look at your Northrend map and locate Sholazar Basin to the west on the map. Travel to Sholazar Basin by flight path, flying mount or ground mount.

Obtain the quest “Issue of Trust” from Freya in Sholazar Basin. She is located in the northeastern part of the map by The Lost Lands. Complete the quest. This quest opens the Waygate from Sholazar Basin to Un’goro Crater.

Travel back to Ogrimmar or Stormwind. Go to the Hero’s Call Board in Stormwind or the Warchief’s Command Board in Ogrimmar and get the quest “Hero’s Call: Uldum!”

Travel to Tanaris from Stormwind or Ogrimmar to complete the quest, "Hero's Call: Uldum!". Receive the quest “Easy Money” to enter Uldum.

Perform the following quests: “Traitors,” “Smoke in Their Eyes,” “Kavern the Callous,” “Budd’s Plan,” “Escape from the Lost City” and “Impending Retribution.” You are captured, and you have to finish these quests to get out of the cages. The last quest opens the portal from Uldum to Stormwind or Ogrimmar.

Enter the portal to Uldum from your main city. The portal is in the same place as the other Catalysm portals. Go to the Eastern Earthshrine in Stormwind or the Western Earthshrine in Ogrimmar. Right-click the portal to enter. You appear in the city of Ramkahen.

Fly north, from Ramkahen, to the Waygate in Un’goro Crater. Enter the Waygate and teleport to the Scholazar Basin's Waygate.

Fly east, from the Waygate, to Dalaran.
