How to Get a Growlithe in "Pokemon Ruby Sapphire"

Growlithe is a Fire-type dog Pokemon introduced in the initial Pokemon games, "Pokemon Red" and "Pokemon Blue." In the third generation of Pokemon games, "Pokemon Ruby" and "Pokemon Sapphire," Growlithe is only available through two ways: trading or cheating. By using an Action Replay device, you can input a code that automatically makes every wild Pokemon you encounter a Growlithe. Alternatively, you can also trade with someone who already has a Growlithe.
"Action Replay" codes
Enter the following code at the Action Replay code screen:
39E924C4 4136A9DD CD7047AB 42D861F2
Start the game normally and select your saved file.
Travel into any patch of grass to encounter a Growlithe.
Use a Water-type Pokemon to weaken it, then use a Pokeball to capture it.
Trading
Connect your Game Boy Advance with another person's Game Boy Advance using a transfer link cable.
Go to any Pokemon Center in the game.
Talk to the trade attendant in the Pokemon Center and select the "Trade" option to begin trading.
Select any Pokemon you wish to trade and have the other person select Growlithe. Press "Confirm" to initiate the trade. Once the trade has been completed, you will have Growlithe in your party.
