To unlock all homes in “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” you must buy each individual property. While there is no cheat to directly unlock all homes instantly, there is a money cheat that gives you enough money to buy every home as soon as they become available. To make a property eligible for purchase, you must have progressed far enough in the game to unlock the city in which the house you want is located.
Cheat Codes
Cheat codes are entered through a series of button commands while in the game, and not through a menu like some other games use. Use the directional pad (not the analogue stick), face buttons and the shoulder buttons on your controller to enter cheats. While cheats can enhance the experience of the game, some have been known to cause problems. Do not enter over 500 cheats before you encounter the mission titled “Madd Dog,” otherwise the mission becomes impossible to complete under normal conditions. Do not save the game if you enter a cheat code, that creates problems for random pedestrians.
Money Cheat
This cheat code will give you $250,000 each time you enter it. The cheat will also refill your health meter, give you full armor and repair the vehicle you are in if you use the code while in a vehicle. Press the following buttons in this order: “R1,” “R2,” “L1,” “X,” “Left,” “Down,” “Right,” “Up,” “Left,” “Down,” “Right” and “Up.” A confirmation message will appear on the screen if you were successful. The combined cost for all homes in the game is $879,000, so enter this cheat four times to gather enough money to unlock all of them.
Unlock Homes
Players can unlock 29 homes in total, found throughout San Andreas. They are represented on your map as green icons in the shape of a house. To unlock a home, first go to its location as displayed on your in-game map. Find the green house icon outside. It is usually found on the house’s driveway or just outside the front door. Stand on the green icon and look at the price displayed just above it. Press the “L1” button to pay the displayed amount of money and unlock the property.
Property Benefits
There are lots of advantages to owning several homes throughout San Andreas. The main benefit is that each home has an icon where you can save your game between missions. Simply walk into the rotating disc found inside each home to save the game. Each house also has a wardrobe in the bedroom. Use this to switch between all outfits and accessories you have purchased from shops. The homes in Verdant Bluffs, Mulholland, Santa Maria Beach, Palomino Creek, Dillimore, Hashbury, Paradiso, Calton Heights, Fort Carson, Whitewood Estates, Prickle Pine, Redsands West and Rockshore West have a garage. You can store cars in these to retrieve later, even if you turn off your game.
