"Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" for the PlayStation 2 presents players with a large scale sandbox style game where exploration and free play are encouraged. One way that the game allows players to explore is through the use of cheat codes. Enter any combination of these cheat codes while playing to alter the level of gravity, allowing you to perform extreme vertical stunts and superhuman feats of athleticism.
Gravity Effects on CJ
The high jump cheat code alters the effect of gravity on the main character CJ as he runs through the streets of San Andreas on foot. Press the following buttons in succession at any time while playing to unlock the high jump cheat code: "Up, Up, Triangle, Triangle, Up, Up, Left, Right, Square, R2, and R2." A message will pop up indicating that the cheat is activated. This gives CJ the ability to jump as if there were ten times less gravity pulling on him, allowing him to clear long distances in a single leap. Turn off the cheat by entering the code again.
While driving in a car, truck, van or other land vehicle, enter the following cheat code to turn off the gravity and allow your car to fly: "Square, Down, L2, Up, L1, Circle, Up, X, and Left." Enter the following cheat code at any time to decrease gravity on other cars, causing them to float up into the sky whenever they are hit: "Square, R2, Down, Down, Left, Down, Left, Left, L2, and X." Enter either cheat code again to turn off the effects.
Lowering the gravity on a motorcycle, scooter or bicycle requires a separate set of cheat codes. To lower gravity on a bike, enter "Triangle, Square, Circle, Circle, Square, Circle, Circle, L1, L2, L2, R1, and R2." This cheat code allows you to jump a bike 100 times higher than normal. However, it also makes handling the bike more difficult than usual as it is considerably lighter. Re-enter the code to set the gravity back to normal.
Although watercraft already float on water, using the gravity cheat code on a boat or jet ski gives it the ability also to float on air. To alter the gravity on any water vehicle, "R2, Circle, Up, L1, Right, R1, Right, Up, Square, and Triangle." With the cheat code enabled you also have the ability to drive a water vehicle on dry land in addition to flying. Turn off the cheat by entering the code again.
