How to Take a Screenshot on Your HP
By Lindsay Howell

Since Hewlett Packard computers run on the Microsoft Windows operating system, a print screen key is available on the keyboard to perform Windows's print screen operation. This operation allows users to take a digital snapshot of the desktop. Once that snapshot is created, the snapshot needs to be changed into an image file so that it is visible.
Open the window that you want to make a screenshot of.
Hold down "Alt" and press the "Print Screen" button. A screenshot is saved to the computer's clipboard.
Click "Start," then "All Programs," then "Accessories," then "Paint."
Click the button called "Paste" at the top of the screen. The screenshot will now appear on the screen.
Click the blue "Paint" button in the top right of the Paint menu and click "Save." Choose a directory to save the file to and click "Save."
