How to Install a Mad Catz Wireless Gaming Adapter

Items you will need

  • Ethernet cable

  • PC

  • Wireless router or access point

The Mad Catz wireless gaming adapter is an aftermarket addition for console video game systems. It plugs into a PC and uses the computer's Internet connection to allow online gaming, downloads and anything else the console provides. It is fully compatible with any 802.11 wireless router or access point. Installation takes just a few minutes, but it can be tricky if you do not know what you are doing.

Plug in the Mad Catz wireless gaming adapter to the rear of the unit. Plug the other end into an outlet. Press the power button.

Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Mad Catz adapter. Connect the other end to an Ethernet port on the PC.

Click the "Start" button your desktop and select "Control Panel."

Double-click "Network Connections."

Right-click "Local Area Connections." Select "Properties."

Select "Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)." Click "Properties."

Select "Use the following IP address." Enter "10.10.10.x" in the IP address field, where "x" is any number between 2 and 253.

Enter "" in the subnet mask field. Click "OK."
