"MapleStory" is a side-scrolling 2D fantasy role-playing game with a simple control scheme that can be played on any computer with a keyboard. The "Direct Launch" for the "Maple Story" video game may not work in all Windows 7 and Windows Vista operating systems, in which case you won't be able to launch the game launcher. You can play the game directly from the website or you can change some information on your computer so that it will launch your game.
Find "MapleStory.exe" in the directory of your computer at "C:\Nexon\MapleStory" or look in the "MapleStory Folder" on your computer that was created when the game was installed.
Right-click on "MapleStory.exe" to open a drop-down menu. Select "Create a Shortcut" from the drop-down menu. Right click the shortcut icon that you just made on your desktop to open a drop-down menu. Select "Properties" from the menu. Look for the "Target" line and change it to "C:\Nexon\MapleStory\MapleStory.exe GameLaunching". Hit "OK" to make the change.
Double-click on the shortcut and launch the game launcher. The game will start.
