"Shadow of the Colossus" is an action-adventure video game released exclusively for the Sony PlayStation 2 in 2005. In this game, you must take on the role of a boy named Wander, who goes across a large expanse looking to defeat 16 colossi. One of the keys to your success in this game is mastering numerous maneuvers and using them to your advantage, such as rolling out of the way of danger.
Hold down the "R1" button to crouch.
Push the left analog stick in the direction you want to roll. For example, to roll backward, push the stick downward.
Push the "Triangle" button to roll in the desired direction. This allows you to move across greater distances in a quicker manner, and lets you avoid enemy attacks.
Release the "R1" button to return to standing position.
Tips
The "R1" and "Triangle" combination will also allow you to swim and climb walls more quickly.
Warnings
Pressing "Triangle" without crouching will cause you to jump.
